Part-Time Accounting Clerk @ Assist America Inc

The Accounting Clerk is expected to work 25 hours per week, and will perform a variety of general accounting support tasks in our accounting department including but not limited to:

  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
  • Updating and maintaining accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable, accounts receivable).
  • Entering data into ERP system using defined computer programs.
  • Compiling data and prepare a variety of reports in Excel.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles required.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word and Outlook. Intermediate Excel skills preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate, work independently, and work closely with other departments.
  • Exceptional organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must.
  • Ability to function effectively and with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced office environment with multiple deadlines.
  • High ethical standard.
  • Current college students with accounting majors are welcome!
